About Central Valley Public Relations Organization

CVPRO is an independent organization that provides career enhancement and advocacy for public relations, communications and marketing professionals in the Central Valley. By joining, you will enjoy innovative programs that bring concise, up-to-date information you can use right away, plus professional networking opportunities. No membership dues!

Membership is available to individuals in the Central Valley who are involved in the public relations or communications field. Students exploring the communications field as a profession are also invited to participate.

The benefits to participating in a professional association are numerous and include:

Professional Development: Stay ahead of the latest trends, hear local experts in the communications field, understand the latest research and prepare yourself for the future of the profession by participating in our education programs offered throughout the year. If attending one of the many programs offered, the cost is $15.00, which includes lunch.

Networking: Advance your career by attending our networking mixers and educational events/programs. You'll meet like-minded professionals and expand your contact base of colleagues, as well as develop opportunities for your agency/company to partner with other local organizations.

Job Search Assistance: By participating in CVPRO, you'll be one of the first to hear about professional public relations job opportunities.

Mentoring: Assist students and entry-level professionals with gaining an understanding of local public relations industry. CVPRO will provide job-shadowing opportunities for students and recent graduates in the future.

Advocacy: Learn how to educate CEOs and managers about public relations and gain a seat at the management table, by participating in CVPRO.
